George Washington Adams
George Washington Adams was born on February 23, 1908, in Greenwich, Connecticut, the son of Ella and Ron. He married Leah Janette Hayman on September 29, 1928, in Port Chester, New York. They had one child during their marriage. In Rye his family lived at 398 Rye Beach Ave. George enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He died on June 9, 1988, at the age of 80.

Mr. Adams was bom Feb. 23, 1908, in Greenwich, Conn., to Ar-ron and Ella Connelly Adams. He drove a truck for American Oil Co. of Mount . Vernon for 42 years before retiring 18 years ago. Mr. Adams, who was educated in the Greenwich public school system, served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

George . W. Adams, a former truck driver for American Oil Co. of Mount Vernon, died Thursday at Rosary Hill Nursing Home in Hawthorne. He was 80 and suffered from, cancer.
His wife, Leah Hay man Adams, died in 1980. The couple had been married for 52 years. In addition to his sister in ; Greenwich, Mr. Adams is survived by a foster son, Jim DelBorgo of. Port Chester; two other sisters, Elsie Birdsall of Sandy Hook, Conn., and Ellen ''Polly DePauw of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and two. grandchildren.
